PAINT

Before applying wall paint, it may be a good idea to start with the basics. Wall paint consists of a mixture of four basic components. These components are pigments, resins, solvents and additives. It is pigment color. Resin is a binder and adhesive. The solvent is the carrier that makes it all liquid and evaporates as the paint dries. Additives, on the other hand, provide features such as preventing stains and mildew.

Interior wall paints are basically divided into two types; water-based and oil-based. These refer to the solvent (solvent) categories. Water-based paints contain water as a solvent. Oil-based paint, on the other hand, does not actually have an oily content, although its name contains the expression “oil”. Oil-based paints contain alcohol-containing solvent or alkyd resin. “What does alkyd resin-based mean?” The answer to the question is hidden here. Oil-based paints are also called ‘alkyd’ and ‘alkyd-based paint’.

Water-based paint is the most widely used paint type for painting walls in homes and painting wooden furniture. It is erasable and can be cleaned relatively easily. It is mold and moisture resistant. It remains flexible.
